Yan Lian-ke has a very deep ＂disease complex＂.Long-term illness experience and a strong wish of benefit mankind made him become a kind of feeling of suffering to the rural civilians.In his novels,disease and disability occupied a considerable proportion and even become the structural core of the works.Taking disease as point of penetration for concerning human existence,Yan Lian-ke revealed the moral inheritance and the variation of the vast number of villagers in illness in Heluo area.These disease narrative works infiltrated his feelings of strong concerns to the vulnerable groups and reflected his ethnical feelings of compassion for a state of a world and its people of a modern intellectual.
