This paper determines the total phosphorus in water by electric furnace heating digestion. A good linearity of the method is obtained in range from 0.08mg/L to 1.20mg/L. When the sampling volume is 8. 0 mL, the detection limits is 0. 006mg/L, RSD of parallel standard ≤0.06 %, and the spiked recoveries of water sample is from 97.8% to 103%.
