With the development of a variety of broadband technologies and increasing of the user's access bandwidth,backbone network of service providers have been facing great pressure.This trend have pushed for more capacity and increased data rates in WDM networks,while the 100G WDM systems began to be concerned about relying on this advantage.This paper describes the status of the 100G WDM system,the key technology and the research progress.
