在数字通信中,码元同步的目的是要在接收端确定每个码元符号的正确起止时刻。码元同步是数字通信的诸多同步中首要的问题,没有码元同步,就无法解调出所传输的数字信息。本文采用Gardner定时误差估计算法对全数字接收机的码元同步环路进行了研究和仿真分析。该同步环路由内插滤波器、Gardner定时误差检测、环路滤波器、定时NCO(Numerically Controlled Oscillator)等几个部分组成。并对各个部分进行分析和实现方法的介绍,通过MATLAB仿真验证,表明Gardner定时误差估计算法简单且性能良好。

The purpose of timing synchronization in digital communications is to get the correct start and end of every symbol at the receiver. Timing synchronization is the fundamental issue of all synchronization problems in digital communications. We cannot get the digital messages that are transmitted without timing synchronization. Gardner’s algorithm of timing error detector is applied to research and simulate timing synchronization loop in all digital receivers. The synchronization loop of this method mainly includes interpolator, Gardner’s algorithm of timing error detector, loop filter and NCO controller. Each part of the loop is analyzed and the methods of implementation are given in this paper. Simulation results indicate that Gardner’s algorithm of timing error detector is simple and effective.
