曾问吾所著《中国经营西域史》是民国期间关于中国历代经营西域，系统研究新疆历代沿革开发的历史经典之作，向为学术界所推崇。但作者曾问吾之生平，由于种种历史因缘，极少为外界所知，有关地方史志之记载，极为简略，或语焉不详，甚至讹错记载。本文根据有关史志资料和曾氏近亲之记述，对曾氏生平事迹及其《中国经营西域史》予以评述，以回应学界之关注。
증문오소저《중국경영서역사》시민국기간관우중국역대경영서역，계통연구신강역대연혁개발적역사경전지작，향위학술계소추숭。단작자증문오지생평，유우충충역사인연，겁소위외계소지，유관지방사지지기재，겁위간략，혹어언불상，심지와착기재。본문근거유관사지자료화증씨근친지기술，대증씨생평사적급기《중국경영서역사》여이평술，이회응학계지관주。
The Zeng Wenwu＇s ＂The History of XiYu about The Management of China＂ is Classic Work about The Management of XiYu Past dynasties of China, and System research the Evolution of Past dynasties of Xinjiang History, and it is Respected on Academic circles. But because of many history reasons, Zeng Wenwu＇s life is unknown outside, and the record about the local chronicles is too simple or not speak in detail, even to the extent that true false. Base on the information of local chronicles and the write of his relative, This article comment about Zeng Wenwu＇s life and His ＂The History of XiYu about The Management of China＂, to respond the atten- tion about academic circles.
