洛楸1号、洛楸2号是洛阳市林科所利用“七·五”楸树试验林中8—5为母本,6—7为父本和以8—5为母本,长果楸为父本进行人工杂交。经过连续多年的苗期试验和全国多点区域造林试验选育的楸树杂交新品种。造林4年,洛楸1号平均树高8.77m,平均胸径8.91cm。比对照金丝楸分别提高76.196j阳46.1%,比亲本8—5提高35.9%和13.9%;洛楸2号平均树高7.46m,平均胸径9.55cm,比对照金丝楸分别提高49.89%和56.6%,比亲本8—5提高15.7%和22.1%。2010年12月通过河南省品种审定委员会审定,该品种具有生长快、材质优、抗性强、适生广的优良特性,是极具生产潜力的楸树良种.适宜在华北、华中、西北、西南等大部分地区推广栽培。

Two new hybrid varieties 'Los Chinese catalpa 1'(8-5 × 6-7) and 'Los Chinese catalpa 2'(8-5 × Long fruit Chinese catalpa) with successive years seedling test and the national multi-point afforestation test were bred. The material parents were from Chinese catalpa plantations during 'seventh five-year' plan by Luoyang Forestry Research Institute. Afforestation four years, Compared with Gold-rimmed Chinese catalpa and parent 8-5, the average tree height and DBH of 'Los Chinese catalpa 1' increased by 76.1%. 46.1%. 35.9%. 13.9%respectively; ' Los Chinese catalpa 2' raised 49.8% . 56.6%. 15.7%. 22.1%respectively They have passed the evaluation of Henan variety identification committee in December 2010, Two varieties are the most productive potential of Chinese catalpa with the characteristics of fast growing, superior wood properties, strong resistance, wide adaptability. They are suitable for widely cultivated in northern, central, northwest, southwest of China.
