采用寻址与显示分离(ADS)技术的传统彩色等离子体显示器(PDP)应用于高清晰度显示时,分辨率和子场数目的提高将导致亮度降低.采用电极等间距排列的PDP屏,介绍了重复行(LR)驱动方法和交替表面发光(ALIS)驱动方法,并提出一种新的复合型驱动方法,同时提高了彩色PDP的分辨率、子场数目和亮度,测量结果表明,峰值亮度达到450 cd/m2.

In conventional color-PDP adopting ADS technology, as enhancing the definition and increasing sub-field numbers, the luminance of PDP would be severely reduced; it is hardly applied on high definition display. A new driving method, which adopts the panel with equal-interval arranged electrodes, the line repetition (called LR) and alternate lighting of surface (called ALIS[1] ) is proposed, it could improve the definition and luminance of PDP and at the same time increase sub-field numbers. The peak luminance of 450cd/m2 is achieved by measuring at a 12-inch experimental PDP module.
