目前我国农民平均受教育年限不足8年,农村劳动力中,初中及以下文化程度的农民比例高达90%以上,这些文化程度不高的农村劳动力从走上生产劳动以后,就很少有机会接受系统的职业教育,这严重制约着农业生产力的提高,也影响了国民经济和社会的可持续发展。文章从农业广播电视教育的特点入手,探讨了如何以农民田间学校的建设为契机,实现农民终身化教育。

Presently, the average educational periods for farmers is less than 8 years in China, and more than 90% of farmer labor'educational background are just below junior-high-school-graduates. There would be less opportunities for them to receive systematic vocational education after they are employed, which would be a huge block in the rising of the agri- cultural productivity, as well as the national economy and the sustainable development of our social. It is of great impor- tance to promote farmer labors' education for life-time in the issues of agriculture, rural areas and farmers. Starting with the characteristics of ABTE, the article discusses how to realize the life-time education for farmers through the construction of farmers' field school.
