By analysing the kinematic relation and the forming principle for hobbing the big modified gears with the generating method. The problem for hobbing the big modified gears with normal hob is pointed out. The design priniciple and method of non-standard gear hob is purposed. A new method for improving the hobbing acuracy of the big modified gears are established.
