In order to produce quality drinking water, MF/UF is combined with other drinking wa-ter treatment techniques to improve membrane treatment efficiency and remove contaminants that can not be removed by single membrane technique. Considering from process selection in engineering applica-tion, the combined processes of MF/UF with other drinking water treatment techniques are categorized and summarized. The selection of process flow in practical engineerings depends on the raw water quali-ty, the finished water quality requirement, location situation and cost-effectiveness analysis. Successful cases of the combined processes of MF/UF with other drinking water treatment techniques in foreign countries are given for reference.
