A new multi-function coating property testing instrument for lost foam casting was described. The testing principle and testing sample making were introduced in detail. And practical coating for lost foam casting was measured by the help of the instrument. The results show that the instrument can rapidly test the transferring ability of degradation product, high temperature permeability and high temperature strength and it exhibits desirable data repeatability. The testing results are well in agreement with the actual ones.
