湿地是大庆重要的自然资源和社会经济资源，也是大庆赖以存在与发展的重要的生态环境。由于自然因素和人类活动的强烈干扰，大庆湿地受损严重，出现了面积缩小、水位下降、景观破碎、水体污染、生物多样性下降、生态功能衰退甚至丧失等一系列生态问题，湿地生态系统的自然性与完整性遭到破坏。对受损湿地进行生态修复使其生态功能逐步恢复，是大庆生态建设和可持续发展的重要任务。湿地修复措施包括：湿地补水、污水治理与控制污染物排放、生态移民与退耕还湿、污染湖泡的引排水工程、物理清淤与底泥覆盖、移植和引种水生植物等。
