Many harmful elements including Ag, Ba, Cr, Cu, Ni, Mn, Pb, Zn, Cd, Se, As and Mo etc in the ash sludge for refuse incineration have been determined by pressed powder pellets using epsilon5 high-energy polarized-beam EDRXF spectrometer. The calibration curves were prepared using the soils, stream sediment, marine sediment and ore of multi-national certified reference material and synthetic standard. The method provides the advantages of simple operation and high efficiency. The precision and accuracy of the method can meet completely the requirements for the routine quality control.
