With the further development of transportation energy conservation and emission reduction, and China＇s building of low-carbon traffic and green freight, drop and hoop transport has become the focus of attention of the domestic freight industry. This paper first expounds the connotations of drop and hoop transport, green freight, and then presents the cur- rent situation of the development of drop and hoop transport, analyses the environmental benefits and economic benefits of drop and hoop transport, which is an advanced freight organization form that the developed countries have widely used. Fi nally, a conclusion is drawn that drop and hoop transport is China＇s choice to promote the development of green freight.
