The potentiometry titration can be used to determine the content of chlorine ion in sodium hydroxides. The pracess was that neutralize sodium hydroxides with excessive concentrated nitric acids, using the standard liquor of silver nitrate as the titrant, the potentiometry titration was operated in grain alcohol mediums, using the Ag- Ag2S electrode as the indicator electrode, and the double junction electrode calomel electrode as the reference electrode, while the endpoint of titration was determined according to potential jumps. The methodological fractional error was 0. 047%, the comparatively standard deviation was 0. 00025%, and the average recovery rate was 99.80%.
