This paper analyses student＇s comprehensive abilities, such as self-learning abilities, practical abilities, awareness of initiatives and mental qualities through National Software Design and Development Contest for Software Talents. It also puts forward educational improvement strategies according to the current situation of students and the C language programming teaching, which is a beneficial exploration for further improving education quality.
