当前城市特色塑造面，临的主要问题及形成原因：从外在看，城市风貌趋于雷同；从内在看，历史文脉逐渐消失，一些独特的历史文化资源正被人们淡忘。以江苏常熟为例，通过自我认知、准确定位、整合提炼、引导保护、深入挖掘等方式对塑造城市特色进行了研究，强调城市特色的塑造要从规划着手，通过对更大区域内城市特色的全面认识，确立比较优势，并以此为基础对历史文脉、文物古迹、空间尺度等资源进行保护、整合、彰显，如此才能真正体现城市特色。

This paper introduces problems in Shaping characteristics of the city. From the outside, the city style tends to be the same, From the internal perspective, historical context has gradually disappeared, some of the unique historical and cultural resources are being forgotten. This paper takes Changshu as an example, researching in this area through self-awareness, accurate positioning, integration of refining, protection, in-depth excavation and other ways, expressed a view, the way of shaping the city characteristic is to understand the characteristics of the greater area, establish the comparative advantage, and then protection, integration, highlight the history context, cultural relics and historic sites, spatial scale and other resources.
