The Heilongjiang Cold Climate Architectural Science Key Laboratory （Harbin Institute of Technology） has a long history and realistic background. The progress and innovation on the field of cold climate architectural science is of vital importance to the development of economy and society in cold climate. The orientation and features of its research focus on cold climate area are specially expounded. Moreover, this paper gives an introduction to the construction of this key laboratory on its staff group, hardware conditions and management.
