Describes the energy savings calculation and measurement and verification method of the energy saving effect of centrifugal chiller with VSD, compares the two methods of calculating load rates : average current method and average temperature difference method, proves that the result of average current method is higher than the actual situation, but it can represent the trend; points out that the centrifugal chiller with VSD technology is applicable to the environmental whose load of heat source changes a lot, and the lower of the load ration and the cooling water temperature, the larger of the energy efficiency of chiller; demonstrates that centrifugal chiller with VSD can have a good energy saving effect.
