The round forgings for nuclear power station belong to large forgings,the purpose of forging them is breaking up as cast microstructure,eliminating shrinkages and avoiding new cracks.The formation mechanism of layered shear crack in large round forging was analyzed,the traditional processes avoiding this kind of defects were concluded,and the improvement measures were put forward.
