A kind of waterborne coatings used for automobile aluminum alloy parts was introduced, the anticorrosive properties of different coating system on aluminum alloy were compared by salt-fog test, and the influence of film thickness, curing temperature, selection of additive to coating anti-corrosion performance were discussed. The results show that the performance of new developed waterborne two- component epoxy coating has attained or exceed the existing solvent PU coatings.
