The finite element method and the boundary element method are applied to the transducer directivity analysis after coating Epoxy Resin onto the surface of a protuberant spherical piezoelectric transducer. Calculation using software shows that such transducer indeed possesses broader directivity. Experimental result verifies the simulation.
