A simple and efficient high-resolution hydrocode is presented for air explosion loading assessments in ship structure vulnerability analysis and prediction. The code solves the convective transport equations using finite different method based on the Flux-Corrected-Transport (FCT) algorithm. It propagates the shock with fourth-order phase accuracy and without computing costs usually associated with these simulations. Accordingly, this code is especially applicable to simulate the explosion air blast propagate on some large-scale problems such as found in ship structure vulnerability studies. Some numerical experiments on shock tubes and air explosion are performed to validate the accuracy of present code. The comparisons between numerical results and experimental data or classical theory show very good agreement. Finallys a three-dimensional application example is presented to demonstrate the practical use of presented code.
