电子地图显示与感受环境特征否定了传统纸质地图符号设计标准的适用性,在继承用户认知惯性的基础上,对电子地图符号进行基于屏幕视觉感受特征的实验研究,从而确定具有适应性的电子地图符号标准,对电子地图设计标准化、数据共享、自适应空间信息可视化、地理信息协作可视化具有重要意义.本文分析了屏幕分辨率对符号细节描述能力的差异,提出以像素为单位经GDI+处理有利于符号的定量化、艺术性设计;从电子地图符号视觉感受与可视化绘制的角度对地图符号图元进行划分,利于明确实验目标,提高实验结果的可用性;进行了基于E-Prime的电子地图符号图元视觉阈值实验,得到了各图元的视觉阈值,并依据提出的电子地图符号设计基本原则,实现了效果良好的电子地形图符号设计.

The standards of traditional paper map symbols are inapplicable for electronic maps in new display and perception environment Experimental studies of E-map symbols based on screen visual perception, to make new adaptive standards, are of great importance for E-map standardization, data sharing, adaptive spatial information visualization, and geo-information collaborative visualization. This paper analyzes the various screen sizes and resolutions, and points out that adopting pixel as the unit and GDI + technique is beneficial for quantificational and artistic symbol design. It's helpful for making the goal clear and enhancing the usability of the experiment that splitting the symbols into meta-graphs from the point of their visual perception and drawing. At last, the authors find out the visual threshold of meta-graphs through the experiments based on E-Prime, and combining with the basic E-map symbol design principles, excellent topographic E-map symbols are acquired.
