位于新疆南天山冒地槽褶皱带西段的萨瓦亚尔顿金矿床，无论其产出地质背景、赋矿岩石、矿化形式、矿物组合及元素组合，还是成矿作用，均可与邻国的穆龙套型金矿床进行对比．它是我国在西南天山发现的首例大规模、低品位，并具有细脉浸染和蚀变特征的典型穆龙套型金矿床。

Sawaya'erdun gold deposit, situated in the hinterland of southwestern Tianshan near the northwestern Tarim Basin, is characterized by large reserves, lower grade and intense alteration. In the ways of geological setting, ore-hosting rock, mineral and element paragenesis, as well as metallogenic mechanism, the gold deposit is pretty similar to and comparable with Murunatu gold deposit. It is the first example of Muruntau-type gold deposit found in Xinjiang, southwestern Tianshan of China.
