The paper introduced the principle,hardware design of EPA high speed communication module for intelligent valve positioner.The core of this module is AT91R40008 based on ARM7TDMI and AX88796 for ethernet control.A dual-port RAM was used for high speed data exchange between ARM and valve positioner.The real time embedded OSμC/OS-II and the EPA ethernet for plant protocol was adopted.From the result of the test,valve positioner based on EPA high speed communication module has higher precision,real time,and more applicability.
