通过一系列恒定应变率的单轴压缩试验,对高岭土的年代效用和粘性进行了研究.实验中观察到了未掺水泥的高岭土的显著的蠕变变形.经过恒定载荷作用一定时间后重新以恒定应变速率加载时,掺水泥的高岭土在较大的应力范围内有很陡的应力-应变关系曲线.实验发现,通过掺水泥,高岭土的湿陷和蠕变变形明显降低.未掺水泥和掺水泥的高岭土,屈服后的e-log(σ'ν)关系为线性关系,且与饱和期和/或养护时的应力无关.

Effects of ageing and viscosity were investigated by performing a series of constant-rate-of-strain 1-D compression tests on air-dried and saturated specimens of kaolin (D50=0.001 3 mm,PI=41.6,LL= 79.6 %) with and without cement-mixing cured at zero or different stresses.The clay exhibited significant creep deformation.When monotonic loading was restarted at a constant strain rate after sustained loading,cemented mixed clay exhibited very stiff stress-strain behaviour for a stress range that was larger than when not mixed with cement.Cement-mixing decreased the collapsibility upon saturation and creep deformation.With both cement-mixed and uncemented specimens,the post-yielding e-log(σ'ν) relations,which were rather linear,were independent of (σ'ν) where saturation and/or curing was made.
