The flying shear is an important part of the tandem mill line. The control performance affects cutting accuracy and function devotion ratio directly. The control process and relevant algorithm for cutting strips by flying shears were discussed and developed under conditions that the cut point of strip is positioned at the entry of the last stand of tandem cold mill (TCM). At the process of cutting, we add the inertia compensa-tion tache. The flying shear controlled by such a procedure and relevant algorithm respondes fast and astutely and the strip sections cutted off are proved greatly slick.
