The progress on distribution in environment,influence to environment and degradation research of nonylphenol polyethoxylates and its degradation products was reviewed.The main methods to degrade nonylphenol polyethoxylates including materialized adsorption,chemical oxidation,photodegradation and biodegradation.Biodegradation was detailly discussed from three aspects as biological catabolic mechanism,interaction of bacterial flora and biodegradation process.The research trends were also analyzed.The paper should be a good foundation for the further study.
