Bellcore standard was adopted to predict and analyse the reliability of power communication protection switching device. The failure model to protect switching device components and unit was established to calculate the failure rate of the device,and then the reliability prediction process and method of protection switching device were put forward. By analyzing the reliability of protection switching device,fault and risks can be found timely,which ensures the safe and stable operation for power system.
