During prestressing construction of bridge, it often appears the situation that the real elongation is not conformed to the design elongation and often with larger difference. The elongations calculated according to different calculation formulae are also different greatly. Based on the data of part continuous girders' tension and to counter the problems met during construction, a detailed analysis is carried out and a calculation method for real-measured elongation by steel twisted wire which is adaptable for site construction is summarized.
