In order to verify the applicability of the MAC mines to the sintering production at Tanshan Iron and Steel Co., experiments were carried out of their physiochemical and sintering properties and a trial-productlon was conducted based on the experimental results. As a results of these experiments and production practice,an optimal MAC rate of less than 16% in the entire sinter mixture was determined.
