With aging of the population,geriatrics and its education are demanded development urgently.This paper is to explore the significance and methods of strengthening students' fundamental idea culture in clinical teaching of geriatrics.These fundamental ideas are such as humanistic spirit,systematic thought,health management,and evidence-based medicine.Guide students' taking care of older people with humanity,systematic diagnosis and treatmeat,health management all round,and evidence-based practice,which has continuously improved the skill of diagnosis and treatment.
