Guilin City is the international famous tourist city, but the city development is seriously limited. In order to guarantee the sustaining development of social economy, to optimize the industrial layout, and to expand the city space westwards, the widening reconstruction of the present airport road is put forward. The article focuses introduction on the background, functional localization, overall scheme and interchange design of the road construction, discusses the thinking how to utilize the old road and dismount the buildings in the reconstruction extension of road, and puts forward the detail engineering technical scheme.
