软木是一种具有独特性能的天然产品,因而得到广泛的应用.本文介绍了国内外对软木原材料进行软化、膨化处理的工艺现状及材料的性能变化,探讨其发展趋势.通过对比分析认为,在压力作用下的热-化学膨化方法效果较好, 可以使软木膨胀到原体积的70%~220%,密度减轻,弹性和柔韧性增加;膨化后软木不产生炭化,不失去软木原有的自然色泽,是生产高档软木产品的发展趋势.

Cork is a natural product with unique properties, with wide applications. This paper introduced current technique of soften and expansion of raw cork at home and aboard, the property changes in soften and expansion process, and discussed its development trend. Through the comparative analysis, thermal-chemical expansion under pressure is a better method, cork can be expanded to 70%~220% of initial volume with decreased density increased elasticity and flexibility. It will not be carbonized, nor lose its original natural colour and luster, so it is a development trend in producing high quality cork products.
