In the process of seismic inversion, the wavelet plays a vitally important role, which will directly influence the final inversion quality. This paper gives an in-depth introduction of the common wavelet-extracting methods in the Strata inversion system, and conducts a brief analysis on their own characteristics. Finally, a new way of extracting wavelets has been proposed which is trying to reduce the correlation energy in error charts by editing the phase of wavelets. And satisfying geologic effects have been achieved by applying the modified wavelet in seismic inversion in West 3 mining area, Zhangji coal mine, Huainan.
