Based on the results of structure recheck of pier of spillway tunnel at Lishimen reservoir by finite element method, this paper pointed out that the fan steel bar of pier was too short to meet the safety requirement and advanced how to reinforce pier by carbon fiber. Further, the key points in construction of carbon fiber was described.
