According to the fault phenomenon of vane servomotor of unit speed governor, the fault reason of vane operation system was analyzed. The fault point was definited by using the elimination method. Combining the practical situation, the fixed-blade operation mode was adopted, which was used as a emergency treatment for hydroelectric generation set and for ensuring safety operation of the generation set.
