The α-linolenic acid with high purity is purifie d with Urea adduction fractionation method from the fatty acids mixture which is produced by linseed oil saponification.The paper discussed the factors in detai l,such as operation temperature,adduction time and the feed ratio of Urea and Me OH to fatty acids,witch effect the α-linolenic acid purity and yield remarkabl y,based on the theory of Urea adduction fractionation.The purity of α-linoleni c acid is increased from 46.7%to87.3%.The yield of α-linolenic acid is abou t 53.5%.
