The paper emphasizes description of a reasoning process of control strategies for water flow
from a colliery roof. A fuzzy prediction method for roof water flow is presented based on partition of
the water-bearing roof through information fitting. A case study on the Nantun colliery shows that
prediction confirms very well to field results.
