The general layout of grain and general cargo terminal in Nansha district of Guangzhou port is discussed and determined with based on the analysis on the influencing factors such as the axial direction, width and location of the dug-in central basin. Numerical simulation of tide, current and sediment, physical modeling and operation simulation of vessels are employed to evaluate the plan of the layout.
