To describe the ignition process of fuel vapor on a horizontal surface a three dimensional model was built. The appropriate ignition criterion was chosen for numerical calculation. The results were compared with the experimental counterparts. The fuel vapor movement and ignition were studied based on the numerical results. At the same time,the key factor in ignition delay and ignition height was given.
