《北京市行政区划图志》是一本中型行政区划专题地图集,主要反映了1949年～2006年间北京市、区县、街乡镇三级行政区划的调整变更等内容,它真实地记载了新中国成立后北京的行政区划沿革历史,创造了一种新型的志书种类,在全国尚属首次。本文结合编制实践,从图志资料使用、选题、表示内容和方法等方面较系统地阐述编制特点。

The Beijing Administrative Division Atlas is a medium-sized atlas of administrative divisions.It is a reflection of the adjustments and changes of the administrative divisions of cities,countries as well as townships in Beijing during the period from 1949 to 2006.As a true record of the evolutionary history of Beijing＇s administrative division,it represents a new type of atlas which has become the first of its kind in the country.This paper is to make a systematic exposition of the compilation features of this atlas from the aspects of atlas use,topic selection,its contents and methods based on the author＇s working practice.
