从三方面概述太阳活动不对称研究的进展:不对称性的特征及其演化行为、周期性和可能的解释。太阳活动在南北半球及东西半球上的分布是不均匀的,且在南北半球上分布不对称;但目前仍无法确定东西半球分布不对称。在众多的解释太阳活动不对称性的理论中,没有一种理论被广泛接受。对将来开展太阳活动不对称性研究工作提出了一些看法。
從三方麵概述太暘活動不對稱研究的進展:不對稱性的特徵及其縯化行為、週期性和可能的解釋。太暘活動在南北半毬及東西半毬上的分佈是不均勻的,且在南北半毬上分佈不對稱;但目前仍無法確定東西半毬分佈不對稱。在衆多的解釋太暘活動不對稱性的理論中,沒有一種理論被廣汎接受。對將來開展太暘活動不對稱性研究工作提齣瞭一些看法。

In this paper, progress of research on asymmetry of spatial distribution of solar activities, including the north-south asymmetry and the west-east asymmetry, is briefly summauized and discussed at three aspects: features and developing behaviors, cycles and some plausible explanations. Solar activities are not uniformly and symmetrically distributed on the north and south hemispheres, and neither uniformly distributed on th west and east hemispheres. Up to now the result on the asymmetry of spatial distribution of solar activity on the west and east hemispheres can not be confirmed. Some suggestions on future work of studing the asymmetry of the spatial distribution of solar activities are also proposed.Sun
