Remote transmission of ground station signals of satellite communication, whether in coaxial line or in fiber, usually adopts E series standards. The digital interface conversion based on G. 704 implements conversion between base band synchronization serial digital signal and E1 signal. The hardware scheme and the software design of the digital interface conversion are briefly introduced. The paper particularly describes the issues of serial interface rate adaptation, slot selection for E1 frame and generation of receiving and transmitting clock as well as the issues of first - in first - out memory. Lastly the paper analyzes the performance test result.
