现今光纤通信课程的教学方法主要有黑板板书形式、多媒体方式、实验演示教学方式等,这几种教学方式各有优缺点。提出利用现有资源,对教学方法、内容做以下改革。1.用多媒体课件代替传统的讲台面授的课堂形式;2.讲授仿真软件PTDS建模的基本原理和过程;3.装配一个教学演示实验设备,在课堂上演示一些基本实验;4.增加光纤通信的课程设计,摒弃以往单一保姆式的教学模式,逐步采用开放式教学。

The basic teaching methods for the course ＂Optical Fiber Communication＂ include writing on the blackboard,multimedia,experimental demo,and so on.These teaching methods have their advantages and disadvantages.By using the existing resources,this paper attempts to makes the following reform in teaching method and teaching content,namely,Replacing traditional face-to-face classroom teaching with multimedia courseware;Lecturing the basic principle and process of simulation software PTDS＇ modeling;assemble an experimental equipment for teaching demonstration so as to demonstrate some basic experiments in class;increasing the course designs for ＂Optical Fiber Communication＂ so as to discard traditional single teaching mode and gradually adopt opening type teaching.
