The system structure of type YWT-SC hydraulic turbine microcomputer-based governor with control of pressure regulating valve, as well as its application in Xuanpingxi the Second Cascade Hydropower Station are introduced. Hydropower generator unit operation is more reliable because the steel pipe pressure and scroll case pressure are controlled as a variable. The governor has been put into operation, it advances a reliable and low-cost scheme that the surge tank is replaced by the pressureregulating valve, it has a certain engineering effectiveness.
