The structure, process parameters and influencing factors on operation of fluidized-bed roaster in an 80kt/a sulphuric acid plant based on pyrite concentrate containing 50% S are introduced. The roaster has been operated smoothly for a long time. The consumption of pyrite is 0.658t with 0.497t of cinder containing 64.46% Fe discharged per tone sulphuric acid.
