The application of single and paired protecting shield TBM' s boring technology in main channel' s 7 ^# and 9 ^# tunnel of Gansu Yintao Water Supply Project is discussed here in detail, the selection bases of TBM excavation equipment are proved, the importance of geological prediction and that of reasonable grouting technology are explained, and the advices to improve the equipment are put forward at last.
