The factors causing corrosion of internal and external side of bottom plate of oil product tank are analyzed comprehensively. The main factors causing corrosion of external side of bottom plate of oil product tank include oxygen concentration cell induced by local water aceurnulation outside the bottom, and stress difference cell induced by the action of the stone in asphalt sand base to the bottom; while the factors caus- ing corrosion of internal side of bottom plate of oil product tank include chemical corrosion induced by dot touch and erosion during bottom operation, and cell corrosion induced by welding heat stress. The integrality management of oil product tank can be promoted by investigation of corrosion factors.
